HELP! My dog walked on my plant! I posted a picture in my diary, the vine is smashed pretty good & it's about 2 ft from the stump. I've seen posts about duct tape & caulking, do they work? Should I bury it? HELP! I've already put up some construction fence & kicked myself in the ass for not doing it sooner. Terry

No pic yet...Is there a secondary vine in between?? If so,,cut off cleanly with a sharp knife,etc.. and treat with sulfur..Train a secondary into a main.. Good Luck...Jeff

i used that before and yes it works. My dad broke off a main vine 7 feet out just a few inches behind my fruit on my 950 plant. Anyways i taped it back up and it still grew 2 inches a day and the main vine got out to 9 feet but then i just culled the vine past the pumpkin and used a secondary vine because i didnt want to take any chances. I kept that pumpkin and that plant got little water and little attention, and the plant ended up being around 250 sqare feet and weighinnnnnnnnnnnng an est of 340 lbs
