This year I am going to somewhat bury my vines. In order to do this I have had to buy several bags of top soil and manure. I know this soil will probably be lacking in nutrients so I am wondering about how I can enrich it. I feel I need to enrich it somewhat because this is my first year growing a big pumpkin along with my others and the A.G. will have to grow out on my lawn. I don't know if my daily foliar or weekly stem drenching is good enough or not? Thanks..... Blaine

I grew a 620 in my lawn several years ago, a 435 last year. I grow out of 4'x3' pits and I put mulch over the vines mainly, and hope the soil is good...but I do amend it. I plant "play" pumpkin plants there so no sweat if they don't do well....but the 620 is my PB.
