i wondered if and where should i cut th vine.

i have been cutting side shoots but i was wondering if i can cut the end of the vine. i have a pumpkin in the middle and was wondering if i cut the end of the vine off and all the side shoots if the pumpkin would grow bigger but then i thought if i cut the end of the vine there will be less of a flow of nutrients in the vine so the pumpkin wouldnt grow bigger

I would let your side runners go at least "5" to "6" feet before I'd touch them. They act as batteries charging the main vine to add more growth to your pumpkin. I'm keeping mine to about "6" to "8" feet due to the space I have. I wouldn't touch the main vine untill it gets past your pumpkin a ways unless your short of room, you need all the leaves you can get.
