I entered the game a little late this year, because I moved, and my seeds didn't make the trip (trust me, almost led to a divorce). I went with some store bought seeds, and have a decent plants growing now (from the 25 seeds I planted, I get 1 plant). Anyways, has anyone ever had any luck growing a decent fruit from store bought seeds???

If they're real Atlantic Giant seeds, then you have a fair chance at a biggy. Personally, I hope you do really well with them. It would be refreshing to see a large fruit come to someone who just plain "got lucky" with no name seeds!

Grow a big one!

Last year I used store-bought seed, got it from Art & Knapp's Plant Land, package listed it as "Atlantic Giant," and I got a nice 178 pounder off my best plant, and that includes the many serious mistakes I made! I'm using seeds from that fruit this year and I'm hoping to double that number ... good luck!

I bought kine at RONA (Mackenzie Seeds Atlantic Giant). I grew a 100 pounder about 18 years ago using the same seeds, using the plant it, prune off all growth but 4-5 leaves and smother it with water method... we'll see what happens this year.
