If I till in fresh manure to my patch for next year (nothing growing in it obviously), will 9 months be long enough for it to sit, or will it still be too hot? I plan on tilling in 3or 4 inches of compost on top of that in the spring around april.
Thanks in advance
Bo

Yup, I live right next to a cornfield. When they come to do the field they bring the trucks in and do my gardens! Just make sure to till in fresh manure, otherwise nutrients will be lost!
