Evil,

Only time will tell.

p.s. It's not necessary to post the same question on more than one thread!

Evil, you are new to this site, so we'll cut you a bit of slack, but your foul mouthed remarks aren't welcomed on this site.......Phil

Dr. Evil we are all in this together. Kilr is cool.

Urea at this time of year can cause explosive growth of your leaves and vines.

Studing and searching this web site will open up your eyes in amazement. Pumpkin growing is hazardous to your free time. It will consume you. But you will be eventually rewarded with a big pumpkin down the road. Proper pumpkinating require calm and cool dudes. Kirl is a veteran of this site and his knowledge will help support you.

OK. It's been 48 hours now. If bad stuff was going to happen, it probably has by now.

If the Urea was watered in, then results are just around the corner. Any sings of change yet?

Is the urea being used from any special source? Is it treated in any way before use? Can one use any kind of urea? Hrm, except maybe cat -- UGH!

Heh, why buy when you can, ah, "grow" your own? :)

ROFL! Never mind, I'm reading and realizing that it's in the crystalized form for fertilizer. No fun!

yeah
it was a bit rude i admit and apologize.
let me just say this
i posted the urea/calcium post in the g. discussion forum for a few days.
it is true i'am new to this and so i thought maybe i chose the wrong area to post it in. i then re-posted in the beginers forum in hopes to get more feedback.
i find your friends comment pretty rediculas for a few reasons.
their response was as follows

Evil,

Only time will tell.

p.s. It's not necessary to post the same question on more than one thread!

with the kind of advice above it is evident even more so that maybe posting the same ? in some different areas would be bennificial.
I felt a bit like the guy in the palana all fruit commercial when the uncooth fellow blurts out "will you please pass the jelly" and then the refined woman at the table passes out from the shock.
i may be wrong, but the exclamation point at the end of your friends response i dont believe was set in a overly joyful happy kind of tone.
i felt it was more in a bewildered condesending one.
but i'm over it and and hope my means of expressing an emotional reation to my interpretation doesnt make anyone lose sleep. i call em how i see um
if i have offended anyone else i apologize

eviltwin,

First off, I've grown AG's for over 7 years now. I've been at this site for almost as long. I became a master gardener several years ago, and have actually taught growing Ags to anyone that was interested in listening. I don't profess to know everything. I have always tried to help out new growers. Had you not haphazardly dumped all those fertilizers with a wait and see approach, and had asked for advice on fertilizing, I would have provided it to you. Nowhere in your original post did you state how much of this "stuff" you used. Since I don't know the condition of your soil or plants,or how much product you used, the best advice I could give was "time will tell". At least I answered your post, even though your question appeared redundant. I know both owners of this site personally and their work load, and how hard they work to provide this service to all, free of charge. Way too much space has been wasted on this site with personal attacks, worthless and incorrect information. Much time is spent by the webmasters to edit and remove distasteful or inaccurate information. I may be wrong, but most users don't want to (or have the time) to read the same question twice under 2 different captions. I was attempting to, as politely as possible, call your attention to a little " site etiquette" since you profess to be a newbie. People like you are the reason why many big time growers no longer post on,visit, or use this site. There are a few more things I could say, but your apology is a piece of shit!!!!

like i said
i wasnt sure if i posted my thread in the right catagory and posted it in a different one. i copied and pasted the repost wrong title for the second post.
i said i was sorry. i could have easily expressed my feeling that your first response in my opinion was jumping the gun and condesending.
i'm sure you probably do have other choice words for me, as you wrote.
i never questioned your expieriance nor do think you are a piece of ....
lastly, sincerity is hard to define sometimes communicating like this. from what i read from u last, an apology(no matter how it is delivered by me) is not something you will forgive.

end of story, okay?
people do it all the time. i probably have too;
ask a question or supply an answer in two different places.
you two have just gotten off to a bad start on the wrong foot, and it is like fire against fire and it gets nothing done. it should be avoided, i guess, to be redundant anywhere, but hey, if it's the same question, well, there may actually be a response to it that didn't surface in the other area of the site. i am NOT taking a side, believe me!
i just saw the same situation elsewhere and there are tons
of answers for each of them, and they are from the same people who have read them and answered them in both places as well. and there doesn't seem to be aaaannnyyy problem with it elsewhere. like i said, just off to a bad start!

and, even if it RePrEsEnTs cow manure or whatever,
the term "sh$$" does not EVER need to be typed-onto this website. you are completely in charge of what YOU type-out on your keys, and no one else. so, straighten up, mellow out and try to all get along. it is ONLY AUGUST! eric
