Spending a lot of time at this web site is only the beginning. If she thinks you are a fanatic now, wait till she sees how excited you get when you get to shovel some manure! Welcome, good luck and enjoy the ride.

Nope its to late for you...You already sound hooked. Just wait until you have to convince your friends and family you need to get them out of the garden into the truck. When it is 35 degrees and raining, with a blustery NW wind.. Food and Beverage will convince some...although they still look strangely at you.

I live in the Apache area just north of Lawton. I just set a new State Record this last week with a 638 lb pumpkin. This is our third year growing. Let me know what areas you will be needing help in and I will help where I can. There is a lot to growing here in the Southern United States that is a lot different compared to the Northern growers. Have you gotten the Books yet by Langevin on How To Grow Giant Pumpkins? http://www.giantpumpkin.com
