First off I want to thank all the growers who were in the GPC chat room Saturday night to watch the most outrageous auction I have ever seen!!!!

I think the final number of attendees was well over 200 and I think Ken D. is still trying to get his server from smoking, thanks for this awesome site Ken!!!!

A bigger thank you goes out to all the growers who purchased seeds during the GPC auction. It is because of your generosity that helps us get the funding to help all growers obtain bigger & bigger weights!!!!

An even bigger thank you goes to our World Record holding grower Chris Stevens for donating the only viable 1,810.5 seed for auction. Your constant support of the GPC and all growers has been exemplary and the entire committee thanks you!!!!

Now the biggest thank you for the night has to go to the bigpumpkindreamer who placed the winning bid of $1,625.00. I am still in awe of this amount and as Jim Sherwood said you are truly a rock star now!!!

A world record seed and a world record bid in arguably the best line up of seeds at 1 auction. This was night for the ages I wish all growers could have been there it was absolutely electric and I am so glad I was there!!!!

I'll second the thanks to everyone that contributed to the cause, both seeds and by buying some of the best seeds around.

Mr. Stelts...shame on you for even mentioning smoke from Ken D's servers....I agree that Ken is the MAN!!! Wish I coulda been around for the "Electricity" of the moment!!! kudos to gpc, ken d, chris stevens and team lunatic (sorry can't remember his name) for putting up a good fight, i know he wanted it as bad as me.
i know the money will go to a good cause.
i don't think i would call myself a rock star; i'm just an average guy that would like to grow a huge pumpkin.

It was me Chris doing the bidding with Bryan Mailey (BPMailey) on the phone shouting out orders!! "Bid, Bid!!!!" all the while other friends were texting me "Stop, Stop!!!!" hahaha What a great time. Thanks to Big Pumpkin Dreamer for stepping up and saving my marriage!

For that kind of money I'd be putting that seed up in the guest room...

It was still a blast, kudos to supporting the cause, and I hope that seed goes the distance in the spring. I'm serious about you should clone the vine and I'll sign up for one!
