This is the first year that we are growing butternut squash and was wondering if anyone had any good recipes for them.

They're great on the grill. Cut them in half lenghtwise & clean the seeds out, then put a tablespoon or 2 of butter in the "bowl" portion of the squash along with some brown sugar. Sprinkle the whole thing with cinnimon & wrap with aluminum foil, then put on the grill till they are soft. Good eating..............Paul

Yep what Paul said. For an even tastier treat, instead of brown sugar use a little maple syrup. We harvest ours and fill the oven up. Then Scrape them out and freeze them.

use them in any recipe in place of pumpkin. I made butternut squash pies for Thanksgiving last year. Very Tasty!
