Spicy Tomato Sauce
Yields:
5 pints
Ingredients:
Total of 12 cups chopped tomatoes 4 ½ teaspoons salt 18 dried Tabasco peppers 18 dried Ammazo peppers (or 6 cherry peppers)
Directions:
Wash the tomatoes and peppers and cut off the stems Cut the tomatoes and peppers in half Boil until soft (30 min.) Process the tomatoes and peppers in a blender Strain the mixture to remove the seeds and whats left of the tomato skins or use a food processor Boil about 10 minutes then simmer until reduced to desired thickness (up to 2 hours) Add the salt Freeze in canning jars
