What would you cross it with? One seed happened to fall into my lap. It looked interesting on the aggc. I am looking to bolster the orange and reduce the green.

What green?

southern

Appalachian Mtns.

The 611.5 was deemed a squash

hey you

Greencastle, PA

i grew a nice orange pumpkin on it in 2002. I don't think there has ever been a squash from the 611.5. The 862 Hester was grown on the same plant and it also grows pumpkins. If you're going for orange the best bet is something with 567.5 Mombert in its background. Offspring of the 810 would be good too, though it has some squash in its ancestory.

Here is an interesting post about green and orange progeny of the 900.5 Lyons.

Ron R. thanks for the link. I'm still learning about this seeds lineage. I guess my fears of the accidental green just doesn't exist.so never mind the green. what pumpkin cross would fun to try?

I just ran across a picture of the 1301 Whittier.
The 961 Daletas grew the 1301 Whittier 03
The 961 Daletas was 611 Hester x 846 Calai.

Here is a picture of the large orange 1301 Whittier http://www.bigpumpkins.com/displayphoto.asp?pid=2491&gid=-21025
