Case

Choctaw, OK

The wentzell seeds came from LTD Vessy ?? something like that....i know thats not exactly what it is. I dont know if the line is related to dills or not, most likely i would say it is more than not. I grew a few 345 Wentzell 95 seeds back a few years ago (i think that is a second generation selfed from the stock above) and have had interesting results. I have had the 345 go green, but i wasnt able to clone the plant or get green from the offspring of the open pollinated fruit. I also have grow a small 300 lber, nice orange which was seedless. Alot of the wentzell line dates back to the 345 and the 604(9) Whynot seed which was crossed into the likes of the 825 shymanski and others.

I have no clue if that helps at all or even if the info is correct, but thats my experience with some older wentzell stuff.

Dave, I have noticed one thing about Wentzell seeds, atleast all the ones I have from 2002 to 2004 is that they all are really BIG seeds. So somewhere when the Wentzells first started they have picked this Big seed size up somewhere, but not sure from which pumpkin. My 572 seeds came from a 1081 Wentzell and they are by far the biggest seed i have seen so far.(Not bragging) Ok maybe a little.
