Interesting... I read the articles.

My own take on it is kind of silly anecdotal evidence, but I have
always thought that in people, there is in many cases more
similarity between grandchildren and grandparents than there
is between children and parents. There is a big age
differential there, but if you look at old pictures, etc.,
I've found time and time again that, "it just seems to be so".

Must be the RNA............;-)

Anyway, back to pumpkins... from the picture it seems to
imply that in the case of selfing, one might not always
get the result that selfing might imply?
