I keep hearing how the 1068 Wallace will be the seed to break the 1500 mark this year. Who besides me is growing it...and how is it doing so far in your patch? Mine is leading the pack in my patch. My 1104 Hester, which also is 898x845, is a close second. If the prediction that the 1068 will be the first to break 1500 lbs comes true, quite possibly one of the growers who makes a post on this thread will be the first 1500 pound grower!

Our 1068 was the only seed that didn't germinate for us this year.

Come on people, let's hear who has this plant going! I hear Jack Larue has one, Pappy is growing 3 of them, who else? My Wallace is very interested in how its siblings are doing!

Virtually any seed out there has the potential to break 1500. The seed that has the best *odds* to do it will be what ever Al, Jack, Steve, Jim, Bruce, and some of those other higher echelon fellows are growing....(keeping in mind I said best *odds*)

My 1068 has been disapointing. It had problems germinating and was slow to develope. I have nursed it along though. I was just about ready to give up and planted a back up becide her. Wonder of wonders its comming back. Now I will need to choose. I will probably wait onother week!

last year steve sperrys 1068 was the slowest plant in his patch early on
once it caught hold all hell broke loose

kyle you are correct
thats the one test for our 1068 thats going to be completed come october
quite a few outstanding growers and some not so proven growers have it in so heres to all of them
make the 1068 the next must have stock

and oh by the way, hold on to any you may have because you know how this could end up

vineman thanks for the plug and i hope your one of those growers to break 1,500

our 1068 and 500 plants are doing well for this time of year
ill feel better when i can get the tape out

Yea Pap, I'm dissapointed my 919 mutated like it did...but at least it did it so early as not to make me waste a space. Now I'm counting on the 1071 Houghton, but wish I had a 1068 in as well....maybe my miracle 730 Stellpflugs will make uo for it!

It's very early in the season, but the 1068 I have is my best plant. Pap, if this one has a higher gear, it's going to be scary:-)Joe P.

i know one things for dam sure

with dave s, joe p, jack l, tim p, allen g,steve s, joe j, freddie pickle, plus many more growers giving it a run id almost guarentee a couple for sure well over 1,200 ( i said almost lol )

i just hope either me or ron are one of those lucky ones

a couple of our 1068 and 500 plants already have pumpkins approximately 7 ft out, one of the 1068 also has two with in 6 inches of the other

so it looks like the 1068 will contine to be a good producer of fruit, the rest is up to each of us and the big pumpkin god in the sky
