I have never grown a greenie before so I really dont know if you can tell if they will be green when they are about the size of a large marble but I have a female on my 572 Bosworth that has a darkish green to the pumpkin,I have never had one look this color before, all of mine have been yellowish in color when they first start out.

What do you think the chances would be for this to produce a greenie since the 572's grandmother was the 611.5 Hester?

572 Bosworth (1081 Wentzell x 940 Wentzell)

(mother to the 572) 1081 Wentzell (611.5 Hester x 875 Dill 1999)

(father to the 572) 940 Wentzell (900 Wentzell x 875 Dill)

What ya think Glenn?

I don't speculate on color anymore since the "rules" people swear by don't work.....but I'd say not green.

Ive got a few "marble" sized females on my plants, 2 are green and one is yellow, all will be culled as they are not far enough out yet but ya this is the first year for me to see them green as they have always been yellow

I had one plant that put out green females at first ... then they all turned to a nice dark orange when mature.
