Three weeks ago I started a clone from a Primary vine on my Checkon 1242. Last week I completely cut it from the Vine and then simpley let it adjust there outside for a few days until I brought it in the basement on Sept 30.

It measures 7' I am waiting for new roots to take 3' out so that I can shorten it.

Now to my question. Since Sept 30th is has grown over 6"

I want to slow it's growth till spring. I am thinking more darkness than light....what do you think????

I am learning here and want to know what you have done. Thanks.........Nezzie

I'm thinking 7-9 hours of light and about 16 Hours of darkness. That would be my best guess at what would slow it down. I'm not sure though how the plant will ajust in the spring when you plant it.

My experience is that they tend to naturally slow down, I highly doubt that your light levels in the basement will be close to a july day. My experience is that about 14 horus a day is good. They also will naturally slow down on their own. The key is to encourage new root growth and the dimmed basement light seems to hinder that.

Done it for 2 years.

Let me know if you have any questions
