What is the heaviest pumpkin grown from this type of seed? What do you think the potential size could be of this cross? What's the biggest prizewinner ever grown?
I have the 35 Gerry(prizewinner x 1230 Daletas) growing. No doubt this has been done before, I find it very interesting to see what will result. So far it is smaller in proportion than an AG plant, but it did have the worst of possible starts. I plan on crossing it 2nd generation to the 1260 Weir. What do you think the size potential would be of the resulting seeds? 2/3 AG 1/3 prizewinner..... Ben

Just did a search and found in Mike Frantz diary that - 300 LaRue(prizewinner x 567.5 Mombert) grew the 590 Sherwood! Not bad at all! Maybe I've answered my own question, would be interested in hearing any other experiences. Would be most interesting to see what the 590 Sherwood could do, being crossed with the 801.5 Stelts.....2/3 AG, it would probably be the nicest of orange......

My guess is 2/3AG X 1/3 Prizewinner is a 2/3 size fruit.
If you want an AG sized Prizewinner or a prizewinner sized AG I would self the 35 and grow a few of them, read about Mendels experiments with Peas if you want to know why.
