Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the 552 Sherwood* is an 895.5 Hester* sibbed.
I think the 895.5* is a 900.8 Lyons sibbed.
1. Was the 900.8 itself a pumpkin or a squash?
2. The 900.8 throws Pu. and Sq. Obviously the 900.8 plant that grew the 895.5* threw squash. Did the plant it was sibbed with have pumpkins or squash on it?
Thanks, AleX Noel.

Alex, Brett grew the 900 Lyons several times. He had posted a comprehensive report which documented each seed in great detail. I can't seam to find the link to it as his web site appears to be off line. The Sib pollinator to the 895, I believe produced the 986 Hester which grew a very orange 758 Smith progeny.

Sorry, I left out one important detail. The 986* was just as dark green as the 895*

895* sometimes throws pumpkins. I believe this is why April's 552 Sherwood x 834 Gadberry threw orange this year for her. When Squash go Orange its normally the color of Pumpkin I like.

The "green gene" is definitely recessive.
