In light of recent posts I feel I must step up and help out some of my fellow growers who must be in a quandary at this time about what to do with some seeds that they have. I know that there are a lot of people out there who are now looking to dump the following seeds,

1469.0 Checkon 2005
582.0 Hester 2001
842.0 Eaton 2002
1225.4 Jutras 2003
1097.5 Beachy 2002
1104.5 Hester 2003
723.0 Bobier 1999 UOW,

since they have already produced a 1400+ lb fruit the odds are, as explained in previous posts, that they will never produce another 1400+ fruit. Yet I know that many growers out there, especially established heavy hitters, are not only hoping for 1400+ lb fruit but have great desires for a 1500+ lb fruit.
I live in an area that makes it difficult for a seed to reach its full potential when compared to other areas of the world. Because of this fact I wouldn’t have a problem planting these inferior seeds.
So, I am proposing that anyone who has above seeds, and really wants to grow a 1400+ lb or 1500+ lb fruit can send them to me and in return I’ll exchange them for some unproven seeds with great genetics that don’t have such a problem. Please remember that I’m just trying to help you out, just trying to help you reach your goal. And statics show that if you have any of the above seeds ... well you know ... So I won't depress you by stating it again...
Please email me privately; I’m sure that we’ll be able to work something out.
Thanks,
Gordon

Sorry gordon, but I've already fed my remaining stock of most those seeds to my rabbits... But hang on to your 1354 and 1469 Checkons - these two seeds have not been planted out enough to be statistically analyzed so they are safe from my bunnies for the moment.

Also, the 723 Bobier shows a 1% chance of a 1,400+. I figure it has pretty good odds of popping at least one more in the low 1,400's. Probably worth hanging on to.

If you are after the magic 1,500+, however, your best odds are with a 1068 or the large host of unproven or barely planted seeds with great genetic backgrounds.

If you end up with a bunch of those washed-up seeds with your offer, forward them to me - my bunny's love 'em...

I have a 330 est. dmg. uow. to trade for the lot. The seeds are still in the field but I think the birds still left some of them and it has only frozen a dozen times since.
