It seems that many people are going to plant the 1233.5 Reiss this upcoming year. I was wondering,

What do you plan on crossing with the 1233.4 Reiss?

At this time I am planning on crossing it with 1370 Rose.

my buddy Timmer is growing the 1233 reiss this year, and i am going to try to convince him to cross it with my 1180 daletas if all goes well. i think it would make a nice big and orange cross with the 898 wall thickness and density genes in there to boot.

I'm going to use the 981 Zunino, for an orange-orange cross.

I'm growing a 1233.5. I will probably use it to pollinate some of my other plants that I'll be growing.

There hasn't been an orange seed that's generated this much
"buzz" since the 567.5 Mombert. This really has a good
chance to be a landmark seed... imagine the flood of new
orange genetics that will be produced next year all coming
from that one pumpkin. Well, assuming that it will be solid
pure orange....!

If I grow the 1233.5 Reiss this year, I think I'd cross it with th 940 Mombert 00 or maybe the 603.5 Muller 03.

I might self the 1233 Reiss with the 1008 Reiss, havnt decided yet. Going to be something to see.

If i had the room to do it this year i would try and get one of my 2 last remaining 463 Turner 96 (567.5 Mombert X 968 Zehr) Seeds to germinate and introduce some 1233.5 male pollen into a female on the 463. Also do the reverse on a genetics only female on the 1233.5 and see what the result was the following year with Seeds from those crosses. New Orange into Old Orange & Visa Versa may be interesting to see.

Regards
Mike

I don't know if the 1233 will make it into the patch this year. If it does- 1233 x 670 . Maybe next years cross

What do people think about a Reiss1233.5 cross with a Checkon1469? I'm not going for colour, but it should be an interesting cross to thicken the walls of the Checkon progeny.
Also- what about a Reiss1233.5 with a Hester 582?

cndadoc---they sound very fine to me.
although the 582 doesn't really make
"big AND ugly" i love to see it when anyone does this,
"Big and Ugly X Orange and Lovely" as i think without
pondering it that the orange genes are dominant
and not only will this year's fruits be MonSTerOUs for you,
the progeny seeds will be astounding----the reverses will be incredible also! email me October 1st, lol---eric

I would personally self it or cross it with the 1008 Reiss.

I think crossing it with the 710.5 Companion 04 would also be nice cross. Or a 869.5 Calai, which I don't have.
