Last year about this time I was growing a 1068 Wallace that was knocking the socks off everything else I was growing. This year my 1201.5 Larue (1068 Wallace x 1039 Sherwood) appears to be the hot one. Is anyone else growing a 1201.5 Larue? If so, how is it doing for you?

I'm growing the 1201 Larue too. I put it in the best spot in my patch and its by far the weekest plant, I'm not giving up hope on it yet though. My 1139 Sherwood plant is kicking its butt so far.

Nope,no 1201's. We do have one that is growing very well... I think it is a 688.5 Pugh 05'. From some guy in your neck of the woods....LOL maybe you know him Vineman ;)

523 olsen 05 EST

-In 2003 I crossed the 707 Toftness with the 805 Pukos, it produced the 628 Olsen 03 which was over 7% heavy.

-In 2004 I grew the 628, unfortunately it had an early stem split, weighed officially 599, was over 24% heavy.

-In 2005 I grew the 628 again, grew my PB of 673 pounds and went over 15% heavy. I used that 628 to pollinate another 707 Toftness. That cross is the 523 olsen 05 EST.

I am growing the 523 this year, if there is anything to the theory of seeds growing better where they where produced, and/or, growing your own stock, then this seed is the one.

BTW I think the 1201 is a great cross.

I have the 1201.5 LaRue growing. It is doing very well, ahead of all others at this time.

782.5 Hester (695 Handy x 1260 Weir) was started as a backup and put in to replace my club-rooted 805 Pukos. The 782.5 was 18% heavy to-the-chart and the 1260 pollinator grew a 897# that weighed 27% heavy to-the-chart. I'm hoping to pollinate it with either my 695 Handy or 1260 Weir....should be great seeds either way.
So far it's a healthy, strong, fast-growing plant that displays heat tolerance.

Cliff: Our 947 Legorreta started real slowly, but now has caught up with the best of mine. It has HUGE leaves, just like the 1068 Wallace plant that grew it.

My 1114 from Tom Lishness (371 Langevin x 551 Langevin), is a kick butt monster named landrocket. It has three maines and I expect they will all have a giant, running hard at 8 ft. Jerri

unless you have a pumpkin on and its growing leaps and bounds there is no way you can tell if a plant is going to grow a monster by the way it grows plant. ive had ugly weak looking plants grow the biggest pumpkins for that year while great looking plants grow sh-t...mark

Sure Ed, theres a beauty on it now well 3 I crossed one with Rays 1081 845 x 898 and pisswee has the 723, 1260.4, 846, 898 combind its a nice stew, i guess i call this my genetic plant pisswee will be crossed back to its mama the 1124 Hester 04 in 07 hopefully, just need to get some good mature seeds from them. oh heck i'm crossing pisswee with it mama this year in 06 also! The plants are not being coverd at all i want them to take all the heat they can stand. and i will with gods help keep doing it until the heat, and humidity. will not be a problem. Just a southern thing! And im having fun with the plant at 96f direct sun pisswee did not wilt and fruit set was not a prob.
