Hi all,Just wondering if anybody is growing the 487 Horton.Mine seems to be throwing green females,I have one at 4' and another at the end vine cluster 6'out, and both are green.It's early,but my other plants have yellow female.Could it be a squash?????? Thanks Scoops

The mother plant was the same the female were mostly green until a day or two before polenation time then they started to turn yellow. Mine in the trial patch hasn't gotten big enough to see females yet.

My 487 Horton in my genetics patch. It has a fruit about the size of a grape. It's mostly yellow with a little green tint to it. 90 % yellow/ 10% green. But it looks like it will be yellow when it flowers to me.

Wilbur do you have any pictures of the 487?It has been the slower of my three plants but she is starting to run now. Thanks again Dennis.

I didn't take many pictures last year of the plants, there is a picture of the pumpkin in last years diary. The mother plant was slow and steady grower, one of the later pollenations.
