Can anyone supply relevant information on when is the ideal temperture to sow seeds?

Lukey are you talking about sowing seeds directly into the ground or starting them inside? if inside under heat lamp or on heat matt ive found between 80 to 85 degrees farenheight is about right though some seeds might have to be germinated at a higher temp, outside ground temp should be at least 70 to 75 degrees in my opinion just my thoughts, hope this helps keith

I doubt its time to sow. Unless you are far down south, then I suppose you can sow whenever you want. We dont plant seedlings (always started indoors) until 4/20 for a 5/1 planting. For seed germination, 80-85 is definitely optimal, I agree with Duke.

i agree with Keith 75 to 85 seens to give good results,though i have had good sucess starting seeds on top of the hot water cylinder. now i start mine in the incubator i use to hatch my chicken eggs running at 99 degres farenite only problem is keeping the soil wet.
