How do you do it?
Do you use a brush?
Do you roll the stamens aroud the female segments?
Are there any other methods?
I prefer to use a small sable hair brush to pick up and transfer the pollen from male to female.I believe this mimics the best pollinator of all - the bee.

Like you Jake, I use one of my daughters small paint brushes to transfer pollen.

I scrape (real easy) my pollen in a small pill bottle before going out side. I then dump the pollin inside the female.

A bottle of vintage fish and kelp...a little "Linus and Lucy" playing in the background, and a citronella candle for ambience..

Shannon's method sounds more romantic but like Doug, we crudely roll the stamen around & light a Marlboro.

In desperate times....a little hummm of honey bee's and a little artificial sun light always gets them. Then its stamen to to stigma...and tuck her in for the morning.

Jake,

I like to tie the female
Also put a Sty. cup the night before
I cut the male flowers use a fine tip paint pin to mark them
bring the males inside put them in water and in the bath
room with a little heat they will all be open in the morning.
I will roll the pollen from 5 flowers make sure it cover well. tie the female beck up and cup back on 24 hrs.

On the whole I don't think it matters much. But have you ever watched a bee doing it's thing? It isn't just daintily walking around in there. It's poking, proding, injecting, really getting rough with the flower.... but before we take the sexual inuendo further, I don't believe it makes too much difference.

One thing I noticed while viewing the latest Holland video, is when pollen is successfully introduced to the female, the whole surface becomes sticky. Not sure what that means, but it must be a good sign.
