Andy,

You can find the 1076.5 Werner at http://www.briansinsanity.com/familytree.html

Send me an e-mail at ThePumpkinGuy@gmail.com in regards to the Pukos seeds. I have the 748 and 575 at home, and I can get the crosses to you on them. Hope this helps.

Andy, I really like that 748, I dont think that 748 Pukos was giving much of a chance last year, I think 3 was grown, one was grown by a second year grower at over 1100lbs, the other two, the one I grew was picked the first week in September for the Columbus zoo, it definitely had a good chance to hitting 1000lbs, and the other one Joe Pukos grew as a new care plant at 897. He said all he basically did was water it and spray it for bugs now and then.

Andy,

A quick comment on Brooks' post. The 748 Pukos was for sale at Howard Dill's last year. It sold out very fast. I heard that a pumpkin growing club in Europe needed a whole bunch of seeds from one pumpkin for a growing contest. The 748 Pukos was the one that was sent. That may be a reson why only a few were grown in the USA and Canada.

I'm glad I looked into this. I'll be trading for a 748Pukos and I was able to snap up a few 897 Pukos 07 (748 Pukos x 1308.5 McKie). Thanks again for everyone's help.

I grew the 748Pukos and the 575Pukos this year. It was my second year of growing giants and the 748 gave me my personal best..865lbs. It was a very aggressive plant and continued growing rapidly even though I battled stem rot in late July. The 575 produced a nice orange and round pumpkin, also a very aggressive plant.
