I have tried to research this, maybe I am not wording it right, but cannot find the answer.
My question is this.. When looking at the parent seeds of the seed to cross, which back ground seed means the most the female or male? Such as xxx-07- f-000 x m 000.
I hope thisis clear. Thanks Tim

which ever parents traits are dominant-genetically speaking.we dont know the anser to that until we observe the offspring of the cross in question. Both parents contribute equally to the seeds genes except the female contributes all the mitochondrial DNA info which may be a significant factor.

I have grown out some of the crosses I have made and it seems like I have an equal number of offspring take after either the male or the female. The male pollinator is important and I select seeds based on how well the male has performed.
