i have decieded to plant 7 seeds that were given to me my first year in respect to the good people who gave them to me,i could'nt plant them all so i put all the seeds seedpackets in a greg biffle autograft cap and let my wife pick 7, one happened to be the 1068 papez so maybe ya'll could help me.whitch one to cross with the 1068,here is the others,1223noel,1154bareenie,1118greene,867treadway,609barrett,682caron,the other two that i bought at auction,1118jutras and and last but not least the 275 vanhook. thanks a lot paul

Paul, no genetics guru here, but the little envelope that has my 275 VanHook seeds in it, has a lil message written on the end of it that says "Orange Monster"!!! (275 is 1443 x 1407)!!! I also think that any seed named Barrett...might be a slunger!!! Peace, Wayne

I'd have to say 1068 Papez x 275 VanHook as well.
The 609 Barrett could grow an orange monster as well
So 275 Van Hook x 609 Barrett.
The 1068 Wallace x 1370 Rose crosses have done well
so maybe 867 Treadway x 1068 Papez.

I would agree on the 275 also. This seed seems to like the south as well!

Ron,, the 1068 x 1370 produced the 1110 wallace,, 1110 won best lookin at topsfield 06

As much as I like the 275 VanHook (produced 1394 Burton, first year out)(I will be planting a 275 this year)...I am hoping to try and cross the 1068 Papez w/ the 1450 Wallace....all 4 grandparents will be 1068 Wallace's!!!! Long drive for pollen, but hopefully, it will be a slunger!!!! Peace, Wayne

Good idea Wayne. The 505 Fawcett 07 (1450 Wallace x 1105 Glasier) might be a good one to cross with 1068 Papez. or make your cross and then cross it with the 505.

Martin Reiss did a 1068 Wallace X sibling in 2006. That could add more 1068 Wallace genes into the mix.
1450 Wallace X 1068 Papez....then cross with that Reiss seed the next year....just something to think about.
