1071 Houghton'03
(845 Bobier(+16% OTC) X 898 Knauss(+13%OTC)

I read a few posts through the search and havnt really found anyone that has grown this plant out yet. I dont think anyone has givin this seed a chance yet, what do you guys think?.
Bill Kuhn sent me this seed, and by the way he talks he really thinks this might be a good one. I think Im gonna give this seed a run this year.

Hello Brooks,
Let me try to answer your question on the 1071. I'm a fairly new grower and definately not an HH, but last year I grew a 1071 Hughton, and believe it or not, a 1068,(side by side). I grew them each in 200 sq.ft., (big mistake!).The 1071 was much easier to germinate. Let me tell you about the 1068...woops, I forgot, no one knows more about the 1068 than you! So, the 1071 was easy to grow but, when the fruit set, it grew so fast it kept snapping the stem, so very special care ... The 1071 grew a 488 pumpkin. The 1065 grew a 435, so maybe the 1071 will be the chain breaker. Note: June 26th I had a killing frost and lost most of the leaves on the pumpkins... after all this is Montana. Grow 'em big!

Damn Brooks...the man goes out of his way to give you the coveted 1068 and you go and disrespect him by calling him Bill. Bill? The man's name is Jim, Jim Kuhn...maybe James to you now! The least you can do is get the man's name right! Geez, he's a freakin legend in our sport man! Get it right!

LOL snake!!!!!!! what the heck was I thinking!, I even caught myself from calling Jim "Bill" at the Niagara
Convention when talking to him face to face,,Ha!
One of my best friends name in school is named Bill Kuhn, we hung out since 6th grade untill we graduated together, sheshhh!!! BRAIN FART! hA!!!!!!
Heck I call Dan Bowles every name but his real name on here and he always corrects me also,LOL!! Hell I have even called Tim Parks, Steve Parks the Nascar driver on here!! LOL!!!!!!!

Jim, id like to see a picture of your 1071 that you grew if you dont mind(bosworthbrooks@sbcglobal.net). What did the fruits look like compared to each other,pretty much the same? Did the 1071 have the snout starting at the blossom end?
