Looking for opinions, which of these plants would make a better pollinator ? 1232.5 Bailey ( 998.6 Pukos x 1407.3 Wolf ) Or 1131 Rose ( 723 Bobier x 1068 Wallace ) I only have room for one . Just looking for opinions . thanks Bill

Bill,
What plants are you planning on pollinating?
Both have great genetics.

I'm planning on the 664.5 Liggett , 1446.5 Werner , 1097.5 Beachy , 1248 Ford

Bill,
Keep in mind I'm just getting started, but what about selfing the 664 and using it to pollinate the 1248 Ford, then growing the 1232 Bailey instead of the Beachy and crossing the 1446 and the 1232 with one another?

That would give you very complimentary genetics and allow you to use the space you would have allocated to the pollinator to give all four a little more breathing room.

Then again, I'm just getting ready to plant my first AGs, so that's probably just crazy talk!

I'm a 2nd year grower (really no help) but, I like 1446 Werner x 1131 Rose

Bill,
Both pollinators your thinking of could do very well. I really can't see one being better than the other,by just looking at their genetics, but I'm no expert.

1446 werner x 1232 bailey might turn out to be a very interesting cross.

I wouldn't underestimate the 1232 - might want to give it a spot that's better than just a "pollinator" area.
