1068 Captain? I may be running over to your patch next year an stealing some flowers. lol

I'll be growing a 1010 Deletas next year which is a 998.6 and 898 cross. If you want some pollen let me know.

There are so many choices, Its sad that more growers dont live closer to me. Dont get me wrong I live near a 1000 grower(who in my mind should have won prettiest pumpkin award) but wish I lived closer to more great growers.

hey you

Greencastle, PA

I like the 805 (dmg) Wolf. The cross is 935 Lloyd x 1407 Wolf. The 1407.3 grew his 813-pounder, which was estimated in the mid 600's.

If it were mine I'd try to concentrate the best of the hard to find 664 Liggett genes. If I couldn't acquire the 664 itself, I would try the 1313 Bowles '08 or maybe the 1263 Speakman '07.

I would put something with lots of 898 Knauss in it. The 898 genes have repetedly worked well with 845/723 Bobier-846 Calai crosses.

Seeds to look at:
901 Hunt
1093 Hunt
985 Werner

Daletas 1185 (1041.5x898) 20% heavy

695 Handy would be my next choice or perhaps an offspring, the 1334 Daletas (695 X 898) comes to mind.

in '07 I used the 1407 Wolf with great results on the 2 seeds that were grown, one over 1100 and one at 1218, new growers that tryed the 958.5 Bowles'08

in '08 I used the 1041 McKie as did a couple of other growers, school is out until next season on that cross

capt, I agree with john on the 985 werner... and I should have one growing. My other will be a 904 stelts or a 1385 jutras... only a short drive for some pollen!
