I had a first this year, a 1423 Wallace grew a 970 EST that got a small crack. Its flesh was very, very solid, almost woody like and was tough to cut up into pieces. I did not weigh it but suspect heavy? My inquiry is have you had any such experiences and if so with what seed?

John, I grew the 1423 as well this year, and it went 2% heavy. It was very difficult to open up come harvest time. We ended up getting the Kubota after it and chopping up the pieces. It was thick and heavy. Nice! I can only imagine what it would have been had the weather cooperated this year. Very agressive plant and no problems (minus a few vine borers).

1139 Sherwood and the 1334 Daletas both displayed dense flesh in my patch,

both seeds will be available in the CWPG auction coming soon.

I was gonna say Andys 1407 but Andy beat me to it. I know the 1260 Weir has produced some tough skin pumpkins.

The 307 Little grew my 531 that went +26%
1260 Weir was the mamma of both the parents of the 307.
