In the mothers'pedigree of the top 100 official AGs of 2008,there are only 11 AGs from 2005 that occur more than once.The first digit is the number of times the AG shows up.

Would those growers,or any growers,know why these genes have survived??

They are proven genetics, people keep planting them because they have proven they are capable of growing a big pumpkin. Some seeds may not be there as much and are as capable as the other only they have'nt been planted as much/seen dirt. Is that what your asking.
