milford, CT,

I went through Aggc and couldn't find any 2nd generation offsping of pumpkins where the 1334 daletas was the Male pollinator. This seed grows 17% + over the chart 1st generation progeny but I am curious what the effect of the male pollination has on the second generation. Anybody grown out a seed where the 1334 was the pollinator...what was the % heavy??? mark

ok so only 2 i know tat the 1334 Daletas polinate was
929 Breznik 07(1201 LaRue x 1334 Daletas ) this Pumpkin was 16,5 % heavy .
and
778 Breznik 07 (1055 Breznik x 1334 Daletas )12,66 & heavy
and now only offspring of this 2 Breznik pumpkin i found is
846 Keim ( 929 Breznik x 1134 Horton ) and this Pumpkin was 7 % heavy

i hope there ar other offsprings from this seed but for a beginning the + heavy is not bad .......

Not to get off course, but it seems like the 1342.2 Krug should see more dirt. It went way over according to the charts and the 1334.5 has super-heavy potential.

I had the 1343.2 Krug (not 1342.2 type o in AGGC) in last year until I was hit by wind, hail etc.. The only one I know of to grow it was Marty Schnicker. By the sounds of it the fruit was the color of the father and the shape of the mother, long, wide and small cavity insde.

Yes Steve is right,(1343.2) This thing was very long low and wide. A cream color and had a very small cavity. The thing was a rock and if not for Rhizoctonia it would of been a keeper for sure. The plant had small features and easy to train.I wish I would of took pictures of the cavity put the batteries ran out, plus it was the 3rd pumpkin cut that day and just wanted to get it done.It was est.720 but I am sure it was much bigger after cutting it up. I may plant one of the seeds at the farm to see what it does, I crossed it with the 1462 Gibson(998 Pukos x 1068 Wallace).
