There are no words to explain the feeling you get while filing the edge of a 664.5 Liggett. Look out for cream puff(2)if this one lives.

PS- I'm growing an 839 Hunt( 842 Eaton x 1097 Beachy) 1st cousin to your 664 Carl. Only I have 4 so I'll have three years to beat your 664 weight lol. Best of luck buddy, I know you'll give it the attention it deserves.

That 1524 was interesting in that it had squmpkin color, but perfect classic pumpkin shape. I'd like to see a 664.5 Liggit x 1370 Rose if anyone ever makes the cross...

How about this one meathead: I grew a 1524.5 last year and crossed it with the 985 Werner(1370 Rose x 898 Knauss). Dr. Bob is growing it this year. If anyone can get a big one from it, he can.

The 1524.5 was beige in color...no squmpkin.

The 985 was lightly salmon colored and, from what I can tell, generally took on the 898 characteristics. That should put a good dose of even heavier into the 664.5 side.

Joe,Im going to cross my 664 with the 1313 Bowles. a lot of Liggett with a little Knauss. If all goes well. But im using a 1566 Rodonis as a second pollinater. Best of luck to you Donkin.

Thanks Bill. I seem to be having a little difficulty getting some agression out of it. It was the last of my seeds to germinate and is moving very slowly to the upright position. I pushed the seed coat off. The cots are slowly greening up but i'm wondering if any one thinks this lack of aggresion could be a problem or is it too early to tell. I'm soaking an 840 Parks as i speak just in case.

Easy as she goes,,mine took 8 days to emerge last year and seemed slow for a few days after that. The end result is what counts (wayyyy to early to tell)

Donkin, Dr. Bob told me not to use to much nitro on the 664. It growes very fast when putting on weight. dont blow it up.
