I'm confused as to how this works. Suppose I have a "Frantz" seed and also a "Finders" seed. I put both plants in the garden. I take pollen from the Finders and pollinate a female on the Frantz. Then I get a set. At teh end of the season, does that pumpkin now become the Frantz/Finders cross?? { and the seeds inside }

nope......let's say the pumpkin you grow off the Frantz weighs 500 lbs.... Now you have the 500(Enter your last name here)...
The parents of your pumpkin are the Frantz (Female) and the Finders (Male)...hope this helps...good growing to you.....

Yes, frantz (frantz x finders)

LOL The pumpkin and seeds would be the ### (Your Name) 2009 pumpkin, but the cross would then be ### Frantz X ### Finders.

Your seed label would look something like this:

1,690 LISFISHER(2009)

F: 888 Frantz (2008)
X
M: 777 Finders (2007)

I plugged in some numbers as an example. (Notice how you beat the current WR by one pound?) Also, you would have the weight and year for each of the Frantz and Finders seeds.
