I'm curious what different people hope to accomplish when they grow AGs. Do you want: to just have fun? to impress your neighbors? any pumpkin to make it to the weigh off? orange and big? a 1000+ lber every year or burst 'em trying? Personal best? New WR? Somebody to go over a ton? some combination of those? or what?

My goals this past year were 1) 1000 lbs, 2) something sound to bring to a weigh-off, 3) desirable cross

Next year, 1) a personal best or burst them trying, 2) keep genetics moving forward by trying new seeds. 3) desirable cross

Doug, 'spose that makes two of us! Right now I'm mostly concerned with color and fruit shape (I likes 'em round), but in all honesty size might be the priority if I lived nearer to Ohio. Anyway just growing these monsters is just so much fun!
