I was looking a little closer at the cross I made this past season and wounder in the chances of it having Hybrid vigor as I cannot see were there is any common parents 3-5 generations back. Any opinions welcome. note though color is not an issue to me.

My cross was the 1502 wallace x 800 neily = 841 turner which was 10% heavey

Using a squash as a pollinator will most definatly bring in some hybrid vigour as they are about as unrelated AG's as you will find.

I have looked at the squash that Dan Carlson & Marc Petersen bring to Anamosa with the enourmously long stems. It sure would be an advantage to get that trait into a really big AG.
