has anybody tried to cross 2 females on one plant with 2 males from seperate plants?

happens all the time . the key for genetic tracking though is to use only pollen from one plant into one female.
you could have three pumpkins on a plant and use three different male pollinators but only one pollinator per pumpkin.
if not theres no true history for the offspring.

if your talking about using male pollen from three different males into one pumpkin? you would never know which pollen really was accepted by the female. and therefore no true history on the offspring.

no grower worth their salt will plant a seed from a genetic milkshake ........... pap

like pap said, happens all the time when someone keeps more than one pumpkin on the plant.

The rare thing is finding 2 pumpkins on the same plant with the same cross. It's only happened 3 times that I know of for pumpkins of decent size.

I did this last year and ended up with an 814 and a 729 from one plant with the same cross.
