I grew the 1026 Young last year and it was by far the best plant in the patch. I grew 3 fruit on it for genetics total weight was 1385 lbs. All 3 fruit went around 11% heavy. By the way the 1026 is 1385 Jutras X 1207 Young.

Of the seeds you currently possess, the 1254 Urena is the only one proven. It grew a 1330 pound fruit the 1st year out. Considering that appears to be the only fruit listed for the 1254, that's not a bad track record.

I can't find any progeny listed for the 1026, although if it's throwing multiple 10% plus heavy fruit, that may be a good sign (along with the fact that 1385 Jutras x 1207 Young is a great cross).

All the rest are good crosses, but unproven. With this message board, if you get 12 responses, they’ll probably be 12 different responses, so good luck with that. I’d go with the proven seed stock you have, and then fill out the patch with whatever crosses look the best to you.

PS – I thought the 862 Perham was pre-2009, but can’t find it or its progeny listed anywhere.

PPS – a little genetic diversity isn’t a bad thing to have in the patch, so as much as it pains me to admit this…I might take a look at that 918 :)

I just posted pics of the 3 fruit I grew on the 1026 in my diary. They are all un-official weights and that is why they don't appear on any of the lists. I firmly believe though that they are some of the best crosses of today's genetics, and will at least be planting the 628uow, and the 374uow this year. They both went into the germination chamber this morning along with my 978.5, and 723.
