We are growing this seed this year and I'd like to email with anyone else who has grown it that would like to share any data or experiences.

I've heard that it can be troublesome with flat vines, double vines and the sort but cannot find anything here online to help me out.

My plan is to cross with either 993 Vincent/McGill or 1059 Vincent/McGill and get a nice orange cross that we will grow in future years.

I can be reached at;

giantpumpkins@shaw.ca

Thanks/Glenn

Same as the Borer Glenn, I grew it back around 04 also, It sure was a great growing plant but I was still green behind the ears when I had grown mine.
I culled a 1370 pumpkin that was almost a month old for a pumpkin that was 3 days old in the 2nd week of July. That pumpkin ended up aborted on me later with no females anywhere in sight to pollinte, so I ended up with nothing,,,,HA! (Next female that showed up was the later part of Aug).
I never did get a pumpkin set on time for that plant,. I sure learned my lesson the hard way thats for sure!,, but other then that the plant grew like a weed, fast growing vines and really easy to train.

I really like your cross idea Glenn, ether one of those Vincent/Mcgill plants will make a great cross!

I grew my 1302 on it in 2006. My plant started out with a double vine but I pushed the plant a little and it grew out of it. It was a great plant to grow. check out my diary from 2006.

Steve Z, what exactly did you do to push the plant?

We grew it in 2003. It doubled but I split it with no further issues.
