Just wondered if anyone's got any ideas ? My pumpkin was a blob shape that was crossed with 1014 Holland & that seed grew blob shapes , so shouldn't that produce another blob shape ? or not necessarily? Because the little guy seems more tall & round (so far at 9 days now)! it seems not so long from front to back, maybe a wheel, I know its too early to tell much , I guess i was just pondering !! But would welcome opinions, Thanks

Shape of the fruit is partially determined by genetics, but there are a lot of variables.

I would have to say Blob, 2 Blobs equal 1 blob.

There's more than just genetic involved - I get blobs, wheels, balls, and footballs all on the same plant. I think there may be a tendancy towards a certain shape, but anything is possible.
