I think this would be great for big and orange with heavy genes. It's kind of a back cross like some of the good older seeds. Power packed for sure. What are your thoughts on a cross like this? I'm trying to make this for next year

Well they both have all the same ancestors. 1446 Eaton, 1420 Larue, 845 Bobier and 898 Knaus.
Adding some 1610 Pollen to a 1544 plant might give even better color and shape in the next gen. Don't some of the 1544 offspring look pretty already?
As for the 1610 plant itself Well, I might get hung for saying it, but if it were me I would suggest 1610 x self, to keep it more pure. Its the biggest one I know of to ever win a prettiest pumpkin award, and being it IS an 1161 x self, it may throw heavy already.

I like that cross: 1544 X 1610. I'm hoping to grow the 1610 next year, and have thought about that cross myself. A lot of time to research it though.
