The official GPC website has a link for one from Idaho. I'm going to use them this year even though they aren't cheap and A & L is in my home town. I work in a lab and that lab in Idaho looks like they've got it together. I just found it. It's www.westernlaboratories.com/

I highly recommend Western Laboratories. The reports you get back are easy to read with good recommendations that are pretty easy to follow. John Taberna, the owner, has been working directly with the best growers in the world to develop benchmarks and indicators that pertain directly to growing giant pumpkins. After this past season he now has over 3 years worth of specific testing to help direct giant pumpkin growers. John has done most of the research on his own dime. He also works very closely with Neil Anderson from RTI in developing and identifying the biologicals in our soils to help maximize output. Finally John is always willing to discuss your results over the phone if necessary.

Many people in the Vermont Growers use UMass and are very happy with their 1300+ lb pumpkins.

I started using Western Labs this fall, and like the format of the test results and recommendations. The free tutorial on growing AGs is worth checking out.

Western isn't cheap at $46, but if it helps grow the BIG ones, it will be worth it.

Soil samples
How many samples are you pullin within your patch ?
Are you doing one sample or our you grid sampling the entire patch?
Tissue samples
Same question one plant or all plants in the patch?
Interesting to here what everyone's doing.
