That is some great genetics. Are you willing to send seeds. The post was a little skimpy as to what you are saying!

The plant was flawless and and just wanted to keep on growing even while the pumpkin was packin it on.The pumpkin was still averaging approx 20lbs a day until hurricane earl destroyed the patch on sept7.The 1475Revier was by far the best plant that i have grown in 5yrs.Check out my 2010 diary.Just a beauty of a plant!

I didn't grow out my 1280 yet so i can't comment on it's performance. We have a very short growing season here on Cape Breton Island and i know the 1475Revier didn't even come close to its full potential because of hurricane Earl as you can see from the diary. It was an amazing plant.I think there is alot of great sleepers out there and the 1475 is one of them.

Donkin, I like that 1475 seed also, my 1475 seedling was a bust from the beginning and never got a chance to see outside patch dirt because of a error on my part using just a little to much Azos in the starting mix.

Lesson learned for me anyway on using Azos atleast untill my plants are outside and have 3 or 4 mature leaves already established before using it.

I'm not tootin my own horn or trying to push my seed on anyone. It's a long time since we saw a 1200lb pumpkin on Cape Breton Island.A little more luck with that seed and i think you would have been very impressed Brooks.I'm just trying to give a heads up to growers who don't have a lot of money to spend on seeds. In my mind the 1475Revier is the "BOMB" and can't wait to grow it again!I just hope Chad remembers me.lol

Donkin, you did good. It's okay to be excited and share your progress with the rest of us. Remember me when you grow "the big one" this year. Hopefully, you'll have a good seed count.

Excuse me while I toot for you Carl. Your 1280 will be in every seed bubble I send out. 1475 Revier x 985 Werner, 985 is listed as 7th best pollinator in terms of average weight, could be a great one!
