Dear all, there are three seeds in my collection which make me be interested in their history and future. 410 Turner (939 Wells x 1446 Werner), 458 Snyder (667 Kline x 891 Northrup) and 167 Holder 2005. As to the first and the second, does anybody know which year these pumpkins were grown? Concerning all three seeds, is there anybody who has already made experience with one or more of them, i.e., what did you get out of them? (any pictures available? ...would be fantastic). Cheers, Jörg

Hi Jorg,
The 458 was a seed of mine. I never grew it and if someone else did I'm not aware of it. The pollinating plant grew my biggest pumpkin that year and was a great plant. The reason the 458 was only 458 lbs was that it blossom end split. It was a wheel shape pumpkin that grew on its stem and was shiny with light orange color. I'm not sure how dark the orange would've been as it was just starting to color up when it split.

Hi Kevin, thanks for the info...now I´ve found the picture of this pumpkin in your diary. Indeed, an interesting wheel-shape of that fruit.
