I was just wondering if anyone had any experience in growing these: 1126 Sherwood, 1211 and 1001 Toftness. It appears that they may have some color potential and I was interested in past experiences of their progeny. 1004 Mohr also throws pretty good color, doesn't it? If you have a membership to AGGC, are you able to view the progeny from all pumpkins?

Justin, the answer to your question about the AGGC is yes, but the first 3 pumpkins you mention have no recorded progeny and the 1004 just has one; the 900.5 Westervelt 09 but there is no picture. If growers don't submit info to the AGGC then it isn't availabe.

off of my 1004, my favorite is the 765 guns, a real beauty:

The other progeny that I know of were very orange (my neighbor has grown it twice, both were VERY orange), and the 900.5 Wastervelt was a big wheel, decent orange color with some canteloping. I have a few 1004 seeds left if anyone is interested.

I grew one off the Mohr 1004 last year and the color was gorgeous. It was my personal best at 300 pounds. I'm sure someone else would have got a much larger pumpkin. I wasn't doing enough things right and probably doing plenty wrong as far as growing techniques go. It was my first year using pedigreed seeds (not the Lowe's store bought variety). You can see the great color here..
