Could anyone share some experience what wrong with the seeds ? is it normal some pumpkin seeds are like this? moon craters like on the surface of the seeds, I have posted photos of the seeds at my Kenny David Growers Diaries so that you have an idea about the seeds,
Question 2. " Crack seeds " is this normal for pumpkin seeds ? all advice would be appreciated, Kenny.

Kenny, I am not sure about the seeds with craters, but I haven't been growing that long.
As for the cracks, I am not sure if yours will be viable or not, but I have germinated many cracked seeds before. Many of the ones I practiced on over winter were from my generic AG from last year and they had many small cracks. Most germinated fine. Maybe someone else can chime in on the causes.
And thanks for posting up in your diary the past few months. It helped my winter go by faster. Luke

I saw your diary and you have nothing to worry about. The "craters" are sometimes caused by mould, but the seeds look fine. Cracked seed coats usually don't pose a problem either. The thick armor of the seed coat is meant to protect the precious contents inside, a little surface damage is no cause to worry.

Not a mold, the craters are a genetic thing. I saw it a lot in the 1230 Daletas offspring lines.
Cracks are fine.

Thank you for all respond to my seeds questions is ok to share your experience what you think about the seeds ,it dosen't matter if your answer might be right or wrong is good to have all variation of answers is part of learning for all.
Last season I had a pumpkin grow from a normal seeds, but the pumpkin grow from the normal seeds have craters seeds, that make me wonder if that is part of genetic defact or is just another kind of pumpkin seeds, anyway as long as the seeds are viable :0) kenny.

A 352 lb pumpkin of mine from a couple years ago had those 'craters', or dents as I call them, on 98% of the seeds. Every one I've started has germinated.

nice pics david ive only had a few empties have them holes in past . the cracks might be how you dried them? they will be easy to germ but if keeping them 12 yrs to grow might be tougher
