Pap, that's the big gamble. If both 1610 go big it will be sweet!! Do you know if the 1610 went heavy?

Now that I know my 1610 has germinated and is moving right alone. I will be crossing it with the 1662.5 Stelts. Thanks for the advise Pap, 2 hr soak and high heat worked great for a broken seed tip! Looking for big and orange.

Mudcat I have the plant going now it was slower then my other seeds but while transplanting it into the hoophouses it had some great rooting in it. I believe that it's gonna be one of the most sought after seeds after this year. I must say that I was impressed with the roots. this year proves to be an exciting year for genetics.

I have two 1610 plants growing. I plan on sibbing them both ways, and maybe pollinating the 1348 Hester with the most aggressive 1610.

It will be a toss up? I will either pollinate with the 1677.5 Hunt or the 1725 Harp? Alot will depend on good ole Mother Nature to see who will produce what flowers at what time?

I am going for pure ORANGE...
My 1610 is by far my best looking plant....and will get pollen from a 266 GRANDE cross which was my 1016 Daletas as the father....and the 1204 Kline (810 Dill) as the mother.....my 1016 Daletas went 895 and was gorgeous, I am hoping the 1610 is a duplicate....time will tell......

For those not concerned with color, I think the 1725 Harp X 1610 Lieber and reverse could be interesting.

Wayne, 1725 X 1610 and reverse could produce orange offspring. I just said that because the 1725 isn't known as an orange producer, that I know of. I think that cross could produce some nice orange pumpkins, and who knows...maybe a World Record?
