Did anyone grow that seed this year? I hope that pumpkin had seeds. I think that could be a great orange cross(923 Gerhardt X 603.5 Muller). The 603 pollinator that Jim grew looked shiny and dark orange in his 2010 diary. I've got the 923 Gerhardt seed, which has definitely thrown some beauties. I just have a hunch that the 921.5 could even outdo the 923 when it comes to beautiful pumpkins. I could be wrong though.

Doug, since the 921.5 Rosa beat out the 921.5 Gerhardt for the Howard Dill award, the MAGPG went with the 921.5 Rosa as our orange seed of the year. So everybody jumped on that bandwagon- me included. I did have some seed requests specifically for the 921.5 Gerhardt, so hopefully some of them made their way into the ground.

Just found out today John Rauch grew a real nice 750 pounder on the 921.5 Gerhardt. As soon as he sends me a pic I will post it.

Thanks Jim. I look forward to seeing a pic of it. Are you getting the pumpkin you've grown off of your 923 weighed soon? 923 X 1332.....that's one heck of a cross. Great shape and color as well!
