Now I know that if seeds are put in optimal conditions they can last for hundreds of years but how long would you vets say a seed can last in normal conditions and still have the same genetic potential ???..........can they loose genetic potential ?

Any thoughts ?

Ive had good luck with 8 yr. old seeds without special treatment. Genetic potential will still be there, the germination rate wont.
